Pilgrimage to Pantocrator Monastery • Relics of Saint Empress Helen brought from Venice

We invite you to take part in a truly special pilgrimage, organized on the occasion of the arrival at Pantocrator Monastery of the holy relics of Saint Empress Helena, brought from the Roman Catholic Church in Venice, on May 2, 2025.

Pilgrimage Itinerary (approx. 200 km):

• Departure from Bucharest, Constitution Square parking lot, at 07:00.
• Visit to Pantocrator Monastery (veneration of the relics of Saint Mary Magdalene and Saint Empress Helena, time for prayer and reflection) – 09:00 Hierarchical Liturgy.
• Visit to Letca Nouă Monastery .
• Return to Bucharest, Constitution Square parking lot.

Why is this pilgrimage so important?
Saint Empress Helena, the mother of Saint Emperor Constantine the Great, is one of the most beloved saints in Christianity. Known for her deep faith, kindness, and devotion, she played a key role in the spread of Christianity. The greatest achievement of her life was the discovery of the Holy Cross in Jerusalem, and her foundations remain among the most important landmarks of Christianity, such as the Church of the Holy Sepulchre.

The relics of Saint Helena, preserved in Venice for centuries after being transferred from Constantinople in 1211, are brought to Romania for veneration after a long period in which they have not left Italy – with the last major destination being Athens (2017), and now, Romania. This is a rare and precious opportunity to pray and receive the blessing of one of the greatest saints of Christianity.

• Groups of 15–23 people – travel by classified minibus
• Groups of 24–35 people – travel by classified midi-coach
• Groups of 36–50 people – travel by classified coach

Services not included

• Entrance fees to tourist attractions (approx. 10 RON).

Cancellation Policy

a) A fee of 30% of the total package price applies if the cancellation is made more than 30 calendar days before departure.

b) A fee of 50% of the total package price applies if the cancellation is made 29–20 calendar days before departure.

c) A fee of 100% of the total package price applies in the following cases:

• Failure to notify or failure to show up at the program.
• Cancellation less than 19 calendar days before departure or on the day of departure.
• Breach of contractual terms, presentation of incomplete or false documents, lack of necessary travel documents, or failure to pay the full cost of the trip within the stipulated deadlines.

These penalties apply to the total contract price mentioned in Article II of the present contract.

Note

• Minors must travel accompanied by at least one adult.
• The itinerary may be subject to changes in the order of visits or replacement of objectives due to special circumstances, at the discretion of the group escort.
• This document is an annex to the service agreement contract.

Cancellation Policy

a) A 30% fee of the total package price will be retained if cancellation occurs more than 30 calendar days before departure.

b) A 50% fee of the total package price will be retained if cancellation occurs 29–20 calendar days before departure.

c) A 100% fee of the total package price will be retained in the following cases:

• Failure to notify or failure to show up for the program.
• Cancellation less than 19 calendar days before departure or on the day of departure.
• Refusal of border crossing due to reasons related exclusively to the traveler or beyond the Agency’s responsibility.
• Breach of contractual terms, presentation of incomplete or false documents, lack of a valid passport, or failure to pay the full cost of the trip within the stipulated deadlines.

These penalties apply to the total contract price specified in Article II of the present contract.

Note

• Minors may travel only when accompanied by at least one adult.
• The itinerary may be modified (order of visits or replacement of sites) due to special circumstances, at the discretion of the group escort.
• This document constitutes an annex to the travel service agreement.
