Manastirea Ghighiu este situata la aproximativ 5 km de Ploiesti, in comuna Barcanesti, judetul Prahova. Aceasta poarta hramul "Izvorul Tamaduirii" si este cunoscuta pentru icoana facatoare de minuni a Maicii Domnului, adusa din Siria, precum si pentru izvorul tamaduitor care atrage credinciosi din toata tara. Actuala biserica a manastirii a fost construita intre anii 1858 si 1866, pe temelia unei foste biserici din lemn. Arhitectura aminteste de stilul brancovenesc, iar pictura, realizata de Gheorghe Tattarescu, reprezinta scoala italiana.

A historical monument built between 1858 and 1866, featuring neoclassical architecture. The interior is a true gallery, boasting original paintings by Gheorghe Tăttărescu and a gilded lime wood iconostasis. Set aside 20–30 minutes to admire the details.
Located in the right nave, this 16th-century icon attracts pilgrims seeking solace and healing. Queues often form on weekends and holidays; visit during the week for a more tranquil experience.
An elegant baptistery (Agheasmatar) located at the end of a shaded path. Bring containers for water and take a few minutes on the pavilion bench for a moment of gratitude and peace.
Founded around 1832 and dedicated to the Resurrection of Saint Lazarus. It offers an intimate atmosphere and was repainted by Father Sofian Boghiu. It may have a different schedule than the main church.
A small museum, founded in 1964, featuring old icons, rare prints, and heritage items. Inquire at the monastery shop for the visiting schedule.
