On May 1st, 2026, we invite you to leave the hustle and bustle of București behind and enjoy the sea breeze, history, spirituality, and, of course, the traditional May 1st lunch in Costinești. A perfect getaway to mark the beginning of summer!
The Day's Itinerary: History, Spirituality, and Tradition by the Sea
1. The Orthodox Cathedral of Constanța
Our day begins in the historical heart of ancient Tomis. We will visit the impressive "Sfinții Apostoli Petru și Pavel" Orthodox Cathedral, a masterpiece of Neo-Byzantine style built at the end of the 19th century. The place of worship impresses with its imposing architecture and interior frescoes of rare beauty.
2. The Constanța Casino
Just a few steps away, the undisputed symbol of the city awaits us: The Casino. Considered a jewel of the Art Nouveau style in Romania, this recently renovated historic building will take us back in time, recalling the elegance of the balls once held on the Black Sea Riviera.
3. The Constanța Promenade
After admiring the Casino, we will enjoy a relaxing walk on the city's promenade. Accompanied by the sound of the waves and the flight of seagulls, this pedestrian route is the perfect place for this year's first holiday photos, with the sea as a spectacular backdrop.
4. Techirghiol Monastery
We leave Constanța behind and head towards an oasis of peace and reflection. The Sfânta Maria Monastery in Techirghiol is famous not only for its beauty and the superb wooden church brought from Transilvania, but also for its spiritual significance, being the place where the great confessor, Father Arsenie Papacioc, lived and served.
5. Lunch in Costinești
The highlight of the day and the perfect way to celebrate May 1st! We arrive in the "Youth Resort" just in time to enjoy the vibrant atmosphere of the season opening. Here we will have lunch together, savoring a delicious traditional meal meant to introduce us directly to the summer holiday spirit.
Return
After a day full of beautiful memories, we will head home. Arrival in București, in the Piața Constituției parking lot, is estimated for the evening, depending on traffic conditions.

Cancellation Terms and Conditions:
If the agency cancels an excursion or tourist programme because the minimum number of participants is not reached, registered customers may transfer to another excursion or programme operated by the agency, subject to availability, or receive a refund exclusively by electronic transfer.
If a participant withdraws from an excursion or tourist programme for any reason, the following penalties apply:
a) 30% of the travel-services package price when cancellation is made more than 30 calendar days before departure;
b) 50% of the travel-services package price when cancellation is made 29–20 calendar days before departure;
c) 100% of the travel-services package price in the following cases:
– failure to attend the programme;
– cancellation fewer than 19 calendar days before departure or on the departure date;
– failure to comply with the agency’s general conditions, submission of incomplete or false documents, lack of a passport, or failure to pay the excursion in full within the stipulated deadlines.
These penalties apply to the contract price stated in the contract.
